The Darning-Needle Page #2

"The Darning-Needle" is a short children's story by Hans Christian Andersen. The story follows the journey of an everyday darning-needle who believes that it is more refined than it actually is. Despite being covered in rust and losing her luster, she maintains an air of superiority and narcissism, even going so far as to liken herself to a sewing needle. The book deals with themes of vanity, delusions of grandeur, and the pursuit of recognition in society.
