My wife started to go out looking for him. I also got in my car. The two of us conducted a 4-hour search in our community and surrounding areas from 6:35 pm to 10:30 pm. The night became cold and dark, but our son was nowhere to be found. As the night darkened, my wife's face looked more and more saddened. She looked like she was suddenly 10 years older, her face covered with tears, her eyes hollow, and she looked like a hopeless wreck. She refused to leave the street and go home. At this time, she had been driving the car for about four hours, searching tirelessly, searching without results. Now she was just sitting in the car, parked on the corner of the street where Sam was missing, sobbing and praying to God, and decided to wait there until the end, hoping that Sam's figure would suddenly appear. Who knows, maybe Sam will show up eventually? If this happens, it will be the best place to meet him first. I was also exhausted and weighted down. I have been looking for him in my car and walked to wherever he might go. Whenever I see a person's shadow on the street at night, I get a little excited, hoping that it is him, but it is not. I began to pray with tears. I also told my mother in Beijing, China, which was thousands of miles away, and she began to pray earnestly. I said to God: "Please forgive my fault and help my wife and I find Sam. Please help and protect Sam on this cold night, please keep him safe, please take him home." From a distance, I saw his mother's car parked on the same street corner, helpless, aimless, and not knowing what to do. However, she was not willing to go home until she found her son tonight. I decided to call 911 to get the police. I don't think the police can provide any help in this situation. Since my son is not a child but an adult, what can they do if Sam runs away and becomes homeless or worse? What can I do? They don't know where Sam is, just like us. But I still called the police. The operator criticized me for not calling earlier, but for waiting 4 hours. The fact is that instead of waiting four hours, we searched hysterically for four hours. A few minutes later, four police cars arrived. I waited for them on the street in front of our house. A police officer walked out of his police car. After I greeted him. He didn't waste a minute, and told me directly in my face, "We found him!" It was as simple as that. The three words "We found him!" are nothing short of a total magic. I couldn't believe my ears. Is this a miracle? "Where did you find him?" I asked. The police officer told me, “When someone saw him, they called the police. The other police found him, called an ambulance and took him to the hospital. Now he is in the hospital.” He told me that his partner police officer who was still in the police car was checking with the ambulance dispatcher and the emergency room of the hospital to determine the exact hospital and to reconfirm that it was the same person. They got a positive answer.
